Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner curriculum

Our cutting-edge, learner-focused curriculum is designed to support your journey toward advanced nursing practice. You will acquire the essential knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage acute and chronic conditions, promote health, prevent diseases, and provide education and counseling services to individuals and families throughout their lives.

Collaboration and teamwork are at the heart of our program, allowing you to build a professional network that will serve as a valuable resource throughout your career. Our hybrid classes meet once every other week in the evening, making it easier for you to balance your studies with other commitments.

As part of the program, you’ll complete 600 clinical hours across a variety of healthcare settings, including both urban and rural agencies. Upon graduation, you will be qualified to take the board certification exam as a family nurse practitioner through the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Our program is fully approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

We take pride in our exceptional outcomes, boasting a 100% pass rate for ANCC and a 95% pass rate for AANP. The curriculum for the MSN Family (Individual) Across the Life Span Nurse Practitioner program meets the national standards for board certification and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in all U.S. states and territories.

Alternate degree completion options

Online Degree

Acquire the knowledge you need at your own pace with our online degree option. When you apply, simply express your interest in pursuing the online format.

Certificate option

If you have already obtained your MSN and are seeking to enhance your credentials, we offer post-master’s certificates in both Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. Once you complete the certificate program, you will be eligible to sit for board certification.
